Another one for when your whole body feels tense.

This focuses your mind to breath right instead of that shallow, no-good-panic-choke-mode breathing. Along with putting my hands on my lower abdomen and let yourself with every inhalation see your belly with your hands resting on it rise and with exhalation lower. This eye movement might seem silly, but it completely interupted my oncoming attack. Or until you feel the anxiety letting go of it's hold of you. Then look as far as you can to the other side and concentrate your eye sight there. (You can do it with your eyes opened or closed doesn't matter.) Look as far to one side as you can and concentrate your eye there. I also was taught by a nurse to trick your brain when you feel it's coming on. Also if the strong anxiety has not developed into a fullblown attack with in 20 minutes it won't happen. Know that the panic attack cannot hurt or kill you, they never can. Mentally welcome it, tell yourself "bring it on" it will work as if you turn around and chase off the "panic-monster" that chases you. If the panic attack is closing in on you. Regular exercise, drink lots of water regularly as dehydration can be a source of anxiety attacks or worsen the frequency etc.

With other words stay away from stimulantes.

Stay away from: sweeteners, like the kind you find in low cal produce and for an example suger free gums, alcohol, coffe (caffeine products), chocolates, cigarettes and yes, weed to as any kind of drugs. They can be freightening to say the least as they have terrorized me. To ease/stop panic attacks: I would suggest since I suffer from panic attacks from time to time myself. Now if only I could find something to stop my panic attacks during the day that doesn't get me stoned. So from a guy who has always hated pot, I'm saying you should seriously try it. I smoke a little bit just to get buzzed and if I actually try to sleep it's no trouble. I've had a few times where it didn't agree with me, but overall it has been awesome. I ended up getting a prescription(I live in CA, and it's actually called a recommendation here) and it works for the most part. I decided a few weeks ago I would give pot a chance despite never having enjoyed it, but it had been years and I thought maybe it would be different this time around. I was recently prescribed sedatives which were great until I started taking handfuls everyday. I've tried a bunch of different medications which always work for about a month and then either stop or present horrible side effects. I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder which results in being up for days at a time until I'm so exhausted I pass out and sleep for a day. >!insert spoiler here!< Other subreddits you might like: some
